Cub Scout pack management for Lions through Arrow of Light

Keep your roster, dens, adventure progress, den meetings, events and parent communication in one place. The Cub Scout tools are part of free Basecamp.

The short answer

A pack can keep its roster, dens, adventure progress, den meetings, events and parent communication in MySummitKeep. The Cub Scout tools are in the free Basecamp plan.

Dens and leaders

Create dens (the app uses one feature for patrols, dens and divisions), assign den leaders and assistants, move a den up at the end of the year with Promote Den / Advance Rank, and see open positions on the unit leadership chart. Docs: patrols, dens and divisions and ranks, positions and adventures.

Adventures and requirements

Leaders mark requirements complete for each Scout, and a den activity can be linked to the adventure it covers so attending Scouts are credited from the activity record. Lion, Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelos and Arrow of Light are supported.

Plan den meetings

Events, permission slips and attendance

Create pack events with RSVPs, reminders and capacity limits and track attendance. On Summit, collect permission slips digitally; parents can sign once for the program year and still sign a separate slip for a single event. Docs: event planning and the one-year permission slip.

Before Lions: Chipmunks (pilot)

Chipmunks is a pilot program from Scouting America for children aged 4 and 5, available only in participating councils, built around weekly "Scurries" and stickers rather than ranks. MySummitKeep supports a Scurry as its own free unit type that can be linked to a pack, so families can choose to move up as Lions. See Chipmunks on MySummitKeep and Moving up to Lions.
