You download the file and upload it where your council expects it; MySummitKeep does not sign in to Scouting America systems for you. Members need a BSA member ID on their record to be included. Frequently asked questions

Does MySummitKeep replace Scouting America's advancement system?: No. Scouting America's own systems remain the system of record. MySummitKeep helps you keep your unit's working records and produces export files for them.
Can I use it for Cub Scouts?: Yes. See Cub Scout pack management.
What happens if I stop paying?: Basecamp is free and keeps working. A paid-plan trial ends on Basecamp.
Who can sign off requirements?: Adults with the advancement permission in your unit, and merit badge counselors for their own badges. Youth sign-off is a leader-controlled option.
